Frequently Asked Questions

Naturally, many of us have questions before every trip to the dentist.
To save you the trouble, let’s answer some of the most common ones we get from patients and parents alike.

Yes. We’ll deal directly with your insurance company.

We encourage patients to bring their little ones into the office at around 3 or 4 years of age. This will help to detect and prevent future dental problems. Exercising child-friendly dental care will get them used to visiting and looking forward to going to the dentist.

Yes. We provide sedation via nitrous oxide, more commonly known as “laughing gas.”

Nitrous oxide is very safe. Used for both adult and young patients, it is one of the safest sedatives in dentistry. It is well tolerated, has a rapid onset, is reversible, can be adjusted in various concentrations and is non-allergenic. Patients remain fully conscious when breathing nitrous oxide.

Yes. We offer extended evening and weekend hours for your convenience and/or dental emergencies. Also, we welcome new patients and walk-ins.

We use a dentist-prescribed, take-home system that offers noticeable tooth whitening results in a matter of days. Our tooth-whitening system can be applied during the day or nighttime.

Yes. We perform full service for dental implants – covering every stage of the process. In fact, our dental implants look and feel so natural that you’ll forget you ever lost a tooth.

Not all wisdom teeth need to be removed. However, if it becomes necessary, it’s easier in younger people because the tooth roots are not fully developed and the bone in which the teeth sit is less dense. Extracting your wisdom teeth before any complications develop also allows for shorter recovery time and less discomfort after the surgery.

TMJ stands for the temporomandibular joint, which connects the lower jaw (mandible) to the skull (temporal bone). When that joint is misaligned or damaged in any way, it can cause a countless number of health problems including debilitating headaches, dizziness, jaw stiffness, ear aches, ringing in the ears, eye pain, problems swallowing, teeth that don’t line up or touch when biting, neck pain and more.

On average, dental cleanings cost around $150 to $250 per cleaning. However, the total amount may differ depending on your dental insurance plan and coverage.

Dental Cleanings usually take 45 – 60 minutes. But this depends on the work needed. As teeth cleanings and dental exams are usually combined, as a rule, plan for additional time to complete any additional paperwork.
